Why NHS Employers should do More.

Now, I am no great fan of the EU or Eurocrats but I have to agree with what Michel Barnier has had to say in this article in the Daily Telegraph. When appointing doctors, it is the responsibilities of the appointments committee to determine whether the candidate is suitable . Being able to communicate with  patients is a competency that the prospective employer should test for - they do not need the permission of the EU to do this. This is not the first time the British government interpret European legislation more rigidly than is necessary and more rigidly than those in Brussels and in other European capitals expect.
