I read this article recently in the Bulletin of the Annals on leadership in the operating room. As a cardiac surgeon who mainly performs complex long surgeries, I should know something about this subject at this stage in my career.

Although I am usually sceptical about touch feely nursy qualitative research papers and although I think the interpretation of the findings in this paper is wrong, I still think the paper is worth a mention  - only because this team is making an attempt to study the effects of what they call the emotional climate in the operating room.
