There has been a subtle shift in the type of papers appearing in this excellent BMJ group journal. Published Papers used to be about specific quality improvement initiatives. In recent months, I have noticed a number of papers that try to characterise a hospital institution that does clinical governance well. This rather good paper from New Zealand presents a questionnaire that reveals all. I suspect sadly many UK institutions would fare badly!
