Hospital apologises to 38 families for appalling care that saw a patient starve to death - Telegraph
I suspect it is not and I suspect this is old news. Nonetheless, the narrative that is emerging from these recurring stories is this - regulators (the chosen model for regulating hospitals in the English NHS and one that costs millions of tax dollars) are either toothless or complicit in keeping silent with NHS management. We are far more likely to find out the truth from newspapers, patient campaigns and legal firms. Did regulation of the NHS feature as a function of the media in the Leveson inquiry?
Maybe Robert Francis QC will have something to say on the the matter.
